2008 Student Mission Trip July 26-31, 2008
Seven representatives of our Student Ministry went to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and were involved in Lakeshore Baptist Church's "Rebuild Lakeshore" effort. They installed sheetrock & greenrock, applied drywall tape & mud and sanded dried mud in a home being built for Larry Poolson of Bay St. Louis. They were blessed to be a blessing.
VBS 2008: Outrigger Island July 14-18, 2008
God moved in amazing ways as our K-6th grade "wave riders" worshipped Him, explored His Word and praised His name through Bible study, recreation, crafts and missions throughout the week of Vacation Bible School. As a result, at least three kids gave their hearts and lives to Jesus Christ as they accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior! Thank you to all who contributed to and served in this year's VBS!!
Winter Banquet Feb. 23, 2008
Our Winter Banquet began with the adult choir presenting a program entitled, "In Christ Alone", followed by the debut of a worship band comprised of Park Avenue members. Afterwards, an excellent dinner, prepared by various church members, was served. Pastor Bob even had a hand in the preparation. A blessed time of worship & fellowship was had by all.
Youth Serve the Homeless Jan. 20, 2008
During an event called "The Big Deal", our PABC students spent some time on the streets of downtown Nashville ministering to homeless individuals. They shared the love of Christ as they gave gift bags containing New Testaments, socks, gloves, soap and a variety of other necessities. Praise God!
"No Wonder" Kid's Church Christmas Program Dec. 9, 2007
Our children & students challenged us to take the message of God's love through His gift of Jesus Christ outside the walls of our Church buildings. We're to share with our lives the true meaning of Christmas so those around will say, "The Church has left the building"!
Trunk or Treat Oct. 31, 2007
Children in Action (PABC's missions-oriented ministry to children), along with several volunteers from our congregation, offered a safe, Christian alternative to traditional trick-or-treating by dressing up, popping our trunks, and sharing the love of Jesus (and some candy) with over 200 West Nashville kids and parents!
